From what I can find out on my own is 28 where made for Florida Highway Patrol for chase cars on I-95. This one was sold at a ford dealer here in Youngstown Ohio to a private company. I bought it about 3 weeks ago in PA. Thank you Tom.
There were 18 Marauders donated to the FHP by an anonymous corporate benefactor back in the December 2004 timeframe. The article (see below) was littered with some inaccuracies (e.g. Cobra motor), etc. The rest of the article is here >>>> http://www.heraldtribune.com/article...0617?p=2&tc=pg

According to a May 2005 post from Dennis Reinhart who did the mods for FHP ..... "Every car has SCT tuning, a Metal Matrix Drive Shaft (MMDS), KVR brake pads on all 4 wheels, ADDCO rear sway bar, and an Autometer oil pressure guage. Another post indicated that each car had SS Inserts on the rear bumper and "Cobra emblems" on the front fenders.

Here's an excerpt from the article.

The Marauder is even harder to spot, and more powerful.

"Basically, they took the motor out of a Cobra Mustang and stuck it in a Mercury Grand Marquis," said Dennis Reinhart, whose automotive shop in Orange Park added a "high-speed metal matrix drive shaft" to increase the car's top speed from 128 mph to more than 140 mph.

The cars also have digital radars and an infared camera.

All 18 of the $31,000 cars were paid for and donated by an anonymous benefactor, said a Highway Patrol spokesperson.

Yes I spoke with Mr Reinhart today. He is the one who told me there was a total of 28 he done . He did not know how one would have gotten to a dealer here in Ohio to be sold new. I have the window sticker it shows cost of 35000.00 new. I will talk to him more when I take it down to him to work on. Thank you all.

I live in Ohio too..And I drove to Mo's Speed Shop with my present Marauder in Sept. of 2012 for updates..and now I just bought a Trilogy equipped Marauder from MN and had it transported to Mo's Speed Shop so they can update the tune, tweak this and that etc. So that is two Marauders for me that has seen Mo's shop. I envy the members that live down there. Read those messages from Chris and Roger. Marty and the shop are excellent at providing what you want and advising you based on interests, budget etc. They don't just take your money. They give you the most bang for your dollar. There are too many horror stories as of late, about DR's practices overall..It's not just one isolated instance.

Thanks to Marty O for his help in updating this car.

After the whole read I am still confused, first I think 300a and than something else pops up and I switch to 300B,I have the small spare, auto E-Brake disengage, electric gas lid,dot matrix on the windshield and it seems as if these things could go on the A or B.
My brain hurts going to bed now

It's easy... The first 1500 are A's and everything else is a B!

It's not that easy as some B's had A features. It depended on what A parts were left in the bins.
