You can do this now. "Search for all posts by this User" found on the User's Profile page, upper right. Or, under any User posting, it says "Search." Same results.
Or do you want to search by User AND keyword at the same time?

Another thing I've seen on other boards is a "search since" option. Handy if you're using a someone else's computer that is setup to reject cookies. (on business travel, etc.)

Do alot of searches on posts and would like to have as many options available on the Advanced Search. This allows for more complex searches to be performed.

A Drop down with over 900 entries is not appropriate. The functionality to search by user is already there, as well as to search since a particular time frame.
