Question Looking to buy Crown Vic

Hi guys,I am looking to buy a Crown Vic,maybe a Police package in fact.I asked a long time ago,but where is that place again here in SW Ontario to buy Police Packages,Kitchener was it?
Also, what year was it that the engine was improved from being so sluggish,1999 or 2000 right, forget here?Any other differences I should be concerned about?

So yah we'll see,I was also contemplating buying a 1997-2000 Escort instead, they are suppose to be quite reliable and are cheap to buy as well.I do like the idea of a bigger car and rear wheel drive though!

    thanks for your time guys,

    DD

*cough* errr, you may not know Peter, STAPrap works at the St. Thomas factory. He builds 'em for a living.

We can't get new CV's here north of 49 anymore ethier. Only available as a fleet purchase.

ST; I've seen CV PI's at auction, after the police are finished with them, but they are very popular for indie cab drivers, so there is usally a lot of people bidding on them. I think it was the '99 engine you were thinking about.

    Vics

.......hey Bluerauder,I'm still around ,things are going ok I would love a Marauder but I just got a house n stuff and need to keep the costs down for now so I think an older car will do the trick for a bit here, and I do dig Police Cars for some reason.I like the dark blue coloured police cars.My fav colour MM is Pearl Blue,I remember the 1st time I saw one going down the line my jaw hit the floor......of course it did even harder when we saw the black ones with those huge chrome wheels, first time in years since the plant had seen something extra sporty going thru so it really made u pumped.

Thanks for the posts so far guys, much appreciated.I've found a couple of places to go look at cop cars here locally.

Have a good day gentleman and yes I am still around, this is a good forum not to forget, good guys on here!
