    Marauder Calendar anyone?

As mentioned in the t-shirt thread, I too have been spending a small bit of time looking into some Marauder goodies...

One thing I've really wanted, and intend to pursue further, is a Marauder calender. I have found an online resource to help me develop the calendar. I can post pics of a sample calendar soon. I expect prices to be between $15-20 each.

Ideally I would like to get support from the admin staff here to make this a MercuryMarauder.net calendar, and maybe even some sponsor support to be able to include some logos on each month image based on the car pictured - ie. what mods it has.

In the pricing plan I would like to propose a $1 donation for each calendar that would go to help pay bandwidth/maintence/upgrade costs of the site. I think that's a way of us getting something cool while at the same time doing a bit to help support MM.net.

    Now...as for the pictures...

First - I want to do a 2006 calendar even though it's already half over. We still have 4-5 good months left!

Second, I want to start the 2007 calendar. We can reuse some of the pictures, so, say, 2006 January through July could be the same in the 2006 version and the 2007 version. That way people who submit get their cars displayed for a month.

Now there's the tough part! I'd like this to be a member-submitted calendar, so we'd like to start seeing some nice quality high-resolution images that are calendar worthy! So assuming we do 2006 and 2007 the way I described above, we'd need 16-17 good images.

We may even be able to add a bar under the main picture for 4-5 more Marauder pictures that would be considerably smaller (like a filmstrip across the bottom of the pic) so other members can get their cars on the calendar, just maybe not the feature.

Depending on the amount of good submissions we may have to develop a way to vote or have a few of us decide - or draw names randomly. Who knows!

Before we work that out, I wanted to see if people are on board for this and would like me to continue down the path to make such a calendar reality. If you agree, start digging up pics or detailing your MM for a nice shot!

Keep in mind the images for each month can also be theme driven - so if featured cars may lean towards the month's theme. I.E., July should have an American Flag, USA theme for July 4th.

    So...what do you all think?

I think that a MM calendar is a great ideal. Also, please post any addition information on pictures for the calendar.

    Sorry Charlie - NO BLUES!!!

    j/k

If you need to email them let me know via PM and I'll send you back my email - spambots could pick it up if I post it here where publicly viewable...

Charlie - a PM is on the way.

If you can host them and send links that will work too for those who have webspace.

make it something like an 18-month calendar, would be silly to make a 2006 calendar starting in January. That's 8 months, that's excessive for "throw-away" or "unusable."

    Just sayin.

I will if I can. I agree it would be good as a 16 month.

Our group has been making Calendar's for over 2 years .This Year with Marauderville 4 in Florida I'm sure we will be making up a Special one. Either way if you should need any idea's one of our members "SoulRiot" has been doing them for us and useing the Cafepress.com site to sell them. They also make up Coffee mugs, Lunch box's, Carry bags, Tank tops , T-Shirts, Hats , Pin's, etc.
