    Question Gauge exchange

Sense our stock gages by the shifter are fake how easily can we put in real ones? Do we simply exchange them by screwing them in place and snaping in the wires or is there more to it? When I took mine apart I noticed that theres something white and plastic that snaps into the back. I'm guessing this might be just for getting the needles to move just during start up.

So simply swap or is there more to it?

The volt gauge is fine. It's only the oil pressure gauge that doesn't give you a true reading.

    Follow these instructions (thanks, Wes):

    ^^^what Bunny said^^^

If you want to retain the stock looks, order AutoMeter #4927 for the oil pressure and 4992 for the voltmeter. These are AutoMeter's new Ultra-lite II gauges and look just like the OEMs during the day, but are MUCH more readable at night than the original Ultra-lite replacements.

Also, Dom, you have to replace the oil pressure sender as well as the gauge itself, although you can use the factory wiring.

I'm going with Pahnatom II gauges. The face is black at night, more like the speedo and such. The only drawback is white light vs Green, and it is non-modable...

I think they will look good....And I get my mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge I want...
