Now we'll see who will replace Winston as the main sponsor. The choices are Nextel or Visa.

not to be unkind, but i dont relate anything to nascar on this board. really have no interest in race results, polls, driver news, because our cars don't fit into the Nascar image anymore, we're big sedan highway drivers here.
Thats why it's here in the lounge. Almost anything goes here.

If it were not for nascar you'd be driving a glorified pinto. Actually alot of the technology of nascar has been adopted into our vehicles. Instead of looking at your wind tunnel aspired body all day; stick your neck underneath and check out the race inspired chassis. Pure race car Baby! Well got to go and throw a couple of turns of wedge in this beast to see if I can take a second or two off of my round the block et. We Race You Win!!

Just read in the Paper, that Nextel stepped up to the plate as a the new sponsor.

GodOSpeed has a point. If it wasn't for NASCAR, you guys wouldn't be driving a Marauder.

Very true LL3. Back in the '60's the Mercury team's did not have a NASCAR engine of thier own. The Mercury division of Fo MoCo embarked on a quest. Actually the Marauder engine appeared in 1958. It took the NASCAR push to get it going. First Marauder's were engine, trim,& preformance packages on the Mercury line up in '63,'64' & '65. '69 & 70' saw the Marauder as a stand alone car line. Now back in '03.Originally posted by Long Live #3

Yeah I know all that, just have no interest in Nascar polls, or who won Pocono. I'm looking for Marauder info thats all, not who whos banner is at the track. This was an observation of what I look for in this board, not meant to upset you

Really? How did you find this out?
Yep...B.P. is a Marauder owner. One of the first.
Cool!
not on the track he doesn't, Nascar isn't what it used to be in the 60's early 70's it was great, now it just plain blows, and I can't get excited about a sponser either, just my thought. Marauder stuff I like to see. not Nascar, its overblown and overrated (in my opinion) polls for who would do Pamela Anderson and nextel just don't seem to fit here (but then it isn't my board either).
