    Private track day at ROute 66 in Joliet Illinois

    OK everyone, I am renting Route 66 drag strip for private use. We will have the track for six hours, with no one else there but us. We can have a total of 8 cars, including mine. The price is $250.00 per vehicle, which includes full track benefits, i.e., ambulance, fire, tree, track maintenance, etc.

    250 for six hours of track time, with only 7 other cars is pretty amazing.... if you are interested please email me at wtk00@Hotmail.com. I need responses this week if at all possible.

    yep, for their private race day, they only allow 8 cars. I still am thinking about doing this if I can get anyone else to pitch in. I would pay more than 250 for this. When AutoWeek did the video shoot of Sarges Marauder, it was just me there for 3 hours, it was great not having to wait in line, or waiting to have the track cleaned. Once you have a track to yourself you can't go back

    Tempting, mensrea... what day are you renting? I'm only down here in Downers Grove a few times a month, but would seriously consider it if it was M-Th.

    I was leaning towards mid week... can you help drum up a couple more people? I have myself, a 69 chevelle, an AC Kit Cobra, a 8 second Oldsmobile (maybe) and a couple of other possibilities

    Boy, wish I could be there to take part in that! I'll be thinking of y'all down here in Houston, and drinking a cold one to you. Better post some results! It will be interesting to see how different cars with different mods do under the same track/weather conditions.
