    New Tire Combo

Has anyone tried the Falken ZIEX S/TZ01 combination yet? I found them in the standard size for the front and 255/55 for the rear, and they are all season with a good wear rating. I think I'll try them when the OEM's are done "again"!! Here is the site if anyone is interested:

Wes had Falken's on his DTR, not sure of the model though and he liked them he said. I had the Ziex 512's on my old CV and I loved them.

FWIW, I googled these tires a few minutes ago. I think I'd want to see them in person before buying. They are listed as a light truck tire and look like one in other photos. One review said do not put them on a performance car.

If your talking about the Hankook's, I had them on my MM at MV 5. Handled very good on the trip up and back, no road noise, haven't tried them in the rain yet cause we haven't had any.....

When your in the 255/55/18 size range everything is "light truck / performance SUV" tire.

No, I was talking about the Falkens. The Falkens mentioned here look like truck tires on other web sites. The site posted here makes them look like performance tires. The Nittos I have on the rear are SUV tires, but don't look like truck tires. IIRC, your tires looked great. I have Hankook snows for our Passat and they are a good performer.
