    Burned out gauge light

The backlight of my voltmeter is burned out. How in the world you fix that?

Remove the gauge pod by pulling down and forward on the side "wings". The bulb replacement is obvious at that point. Prolly should do them both.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

You should be able to replace them with LEDs from Autometer

Kind of scary, when thinking of the scale. Autometer says they do not make or carry that size (158 or 161) any more...!
and they are not LED's... they are small lamps that get really hot....
Autometer sent me the 168 size and right on the package it said "not for use in 2" gauges or tachs...
    Just go to Parts store....

odd, a LED replacement for 158 - 161 is mentioned by autometer.
check other sources like Summit or Jegs, i'm sure I've also seen tehm listed in their catalogs with the gauges.

I had one replaced by dealer while they were working on a list of other things for me. Now I got slightly diff colored gauges at night. Bugs me sometimes. I recommend you do both of them if you are going to the trouble.

Okay, I think I'm doing this wrong. I get the tabs in the back of the pod to somewhat disconnect, and it'll only come forward enough to get stuck against the console. An extra pointer or two would be helpful.

You have to take the shifter out of park for the pod to clear completely, but otherwise you just have mess with it...it WILL come out. I've had both of mine out many times.

I think I'll try and mess with it some more tonight, providing I don't get rained on while I'm putzing (I like to have doors and windows open almost all the time as long as it's not raining and over 40 degrees fahrenheit).
