get out your visa card and call Dennis Reinhart
tell him you want what everyone else has; chip, stat, plugs, pulleys, swaybar.
this will get you sarted in the right direction
Any of the sponsoring vendors would make a great start. Gears are a must-do!

Welcome to the club! Before I spent any money, I would take some time to read through a lot of old posts about chips, gears, and other mods. Some good info here, and naturally, some differing opinions on some things. But you will learn a lot from some nice guys (and one or two nice gals, too!).

Not knowing the degree of improvement you seek and your resources I will opine based on my experience. I rode in a Reinhart s/c MM. and this felt to me awsome and not comparable to stock MM. in any way. I also drove a chipped car with gears and finally my car stock except for Reinhart programming and plugs and stat. My humble opinion: The difference between chip (or programming) plugs and stat and the same plus gears is noticeable but in my opinion not so great as to attract me. The difference the S/C makes is huge and when it becomes within my means it will be my next choice. The gears in my opinion make the car better but not anywhere near close to S/C model for me to desire then enough to buy. The best bang for "the buck" I believe is chip/programming, plugs and stat. The opinions stated here are solely Smokie's and not intended to represent those of the network or it's afiliates.

oh, and dont forget the baby seat -- it added 5 extra HP; but only when baby is in position, crying, and the car is pointed home.
Smokie you're comparing SC which is big bucks to Chip,Gears, stat and plugs which is at the most 1300 with install. I think (and im sure just about everyone else who has done these mods) shaving around a second off the quarter mile is a huge improvement from stock. I am not arguing your opinion but your comparing a N/A car to SC car which costs a lot more.
