At our local drag strip a few years ago they had several big cars (delta's, wildcats, imperials) pulling the front wheels, and turning 10's, It was a great night, and you're right it would be the"cats ass".

It would be great to see cars this tough at the shootout. The problem is no one is reaching out to these guys to let guys like this know about the event. Imagine a 16 car field like this Caddy!

I talked to someone in Kansas that had a 9.80 Plmouth Savoy wagon. We alll need to talk it up. That guy had never heard of the shootout and might come for 08. It was to close to the race when he found out.

If I'm not mistaken the Caddy in the first video ran in the Pinks All Out episode that was filmed at Milan this past June. Needless to say it was one of the crowd favorites. Something about a land yacht running high 9s or low 10s you just gotta love. Keep an eye out for the Pinks All Out episode from Milan. I see it get rerun from time to time.

Yep. My son Eliot and I were there for the Pinks event at Milan, and this car was a standout. Partly because they kept the outer appearance so stock. A definite sleeper.

There was also a full-size van, running around the same e.t. and mph, that reportedly was driven to the track. Amazing.
