I bought a 08 GT-500 in November and I guess that makes mine one more rare. This one has a bunch of go faster mods which in my mind, destined it for destruction anyways. In this area, it seams like teenagers (the ones with wealthy parents) are the ones who modify the 03 up Cobras and they wind of blowing the motor apart, running it off the road, and/or just wrecking it. Expensive mistakes. Anyways, I hate to say it, but I had to sell my Marauder (to my parents who wouldn't let me trade it because they wanted it) to afford the new payments. I got to drive them somewhere the other day and I sure miss the Marauder. I think I enjoyed driving my Marauder more than the Shelby. Probably because I am always kind of uneasy when I am in the Shelby. It drive by wire so it has to me, not quite a lag, but it doesn't accelerate as quickly as it could. The power is there, but it seams to be a little lighter on the throttle than I would be with an actual throttle cable. When it winds up, it likes to brake that back end loose. Its easy to loose control, and I can see how someone, especially a rookie, wrecked one. All that said, its still a lot of fun to drive. Now you know why I don't spend as much time on here as I used to.
Yes, 6 speed. Tremec TR6060 to be exact.
Hmmmmm..... I wonder if I could make the 15" Brembo's fit my Marauder.
opps, I wasn't ready to post that yet. I didn't pay that close attention at first. I was going to add that the early transmissions had a clutch sticking problem due to lack of lube on the input shaft. That lead to incomplete release of the clutch and therefore many people were having synchro's go very quickly. Ford tended to blame it on the driver and people often had a heck of a time getting Ford to pay for the work. Someone could have easily swaped out for the good ol' 5 speed for its reliability or availablity. Also, the stock rear end according to what I have read is a 3.31. I had a couple guys argue with me at the last Mustang club meeting. Ford's literature and website and other websites all say 3.31. I haven't actually crawled under it and checked the tag though, but I think its 3.31. A common mod on mustangs is to go to 3.73, but it all makes you think.
For anyone that's looking, we just got one in here at our yard.
EVERYTHING is still there, it was stolen from the dealer lot and motor and tranny were taken. EVERYTHING else is still on the vehicle. EVEN THE FLOOR MATS ARE STILL IN THE PLASTIC.
interested in parts? (everything is perfect...)

Steve I just got off the phone with Adam, I wanted the rims, someone else already beat me to them . They beat them from you too since you wanted them as well. Good luck with the brakes!

Stock Shelby's are 18's. The wheel's are gone anyway, and I don't feel like messing around "making" these brakes work.
