Search around. I did a very detailed write up with pics on the subject. Have fun!

When you find Defyant's post, please put the link in here. I need to do it again, and don't want to spend all day on it next time.
Basically, you have to remove the passenger side motor mount nut and jack up the motor 1-2" to get clearance of the AC box (I also loosened, but did not remove, the same nut on the driver's side). You'll also need to take off the heater hose from the side tube, disconnect the fuel line, and disconnect the plastic emissions tube thingy. In the process of removing the valve cover, you will stretch the valve cover gasket because it is cemented to the head with silicone sealant at the point where the timing cover joins up to the block. I was able to reuse mine by letting it shrink in the afternoon sun for about 30 minutes, and then finishing up the shrinking process with a propane torch. I do NOT recommend this methodology. Next time I am just gonna spring $50 for the felpro gasket and tube grommet set.

You dont need to jack up the engine by the way.
You do need to remove the wiper cowl and assembly.

where caI get thoose blue covers???
Inexperience here, too. We had all the cowl/wiper parts removed nad tried everything we could to get it off without doing the motor mount. Now, we did not remove the upper intake or any EGR stuff when we did mine. Undid the motor mount, tilted the motor, and wa-la, it came off...
