    Stock COP replacements

I was wondering what the consensus on COP replacements were, not including Granitelli's.

Are you talking about the actual Coil or the Coil Connectors?

I believe the consensus is that the stock COP coils are just fine the way they are...there are people here putting 500+ HP to the rear wheels using the stock COP coils.

I was referring to replacements due to malfunctioning stock ones. I've got over 125,000 miles on mine and it appears one may be shorting out, and others to be getting weak.

Actually the valve cover gaskets aren't helping in that situation. Oil is running down to the spark plugs and stealing their thunder, but I think a coil has succumb to the heat and age of the beast.

Gotcha, but my answer still stands. You excluded the Granatellis, and I've heard that the Accel ones are sub-standard, as is a lot of Accel stuff. If you need new coils, get stock replacements. IMHO. YMMV.

No problemo. I also caught in another thread that even though the Granatelli COPs blow, the connectors are pretty good. Just FYI.

Actually I've seen to total opposite. Some tuners will yank Granatelli connectors, and replace the stock connectors before tuning.
