    Marauderville 6 Itinerary

Marauderville VI - St. Louis, MO
Hey all, here is the firm itinerary for MV-VI!

    Wednesday
    Greet, meet and register.
Ad Hoc short cruises for those interested. Or just a chill with a beer and talk.
6:00 p.m.: Dinner at Westport Plaza (5 minutes away). Great outdoor courtyard for dining with a number of restaurants (indoor if rain).

    Thursday
    Greet, meet and register.
    9:00 a.m.,
depart for National Museum of Transportation. Rain or shine.
12:30 p.m., depart for Queeny Park for picnic lunch. (If rain, large selection of restaurants in area)
3:00 p.m., depart for Fast Lane Classic Cars. Rain or shine

    4:30 p.m., depart for hotel
6:00 p.m. depart for Dinner at Ameristar, 6 restaurants, buffet for $17.99 (rain or shine, valet parking available if you dare!)

    Friday
9:00 a.m. depart for the St. Louis Zoo in Forest Park. The STL Zoo is free and one of the best in the world. Marlin Perkins from Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was once a curator there (also born in Missouri). There is a train that makes a refreshing trek around the zoo grounds with about 4 stops. The huge bird cage was built for the 1904 World's Fair.
1:00 p.m. Leave zoo and cruise around Forest Park, site of the 1904 World's Fair and which meets Washington University on its western edge. Forest Park is larger than Central Park. Stop for photo op in front of 1904 World's Fair Lake (Art Hill).
2:00 p.m. depart for the St. Louis Arch
3:00 p.m. go up to top of Arch (630 feet)
4:30 p.m. set-up for group photo at base of Arch steps (will also need a volunteer to take photo from top of Arch of group below)
6:00 p.m. depart for dinner at Little Hills Winery Restaurant in Old St. Charles. Ourdoor seating available.

    Saturday
10:30 a.m. depart for car show. Trophies for best in a class!!
    1:30 p.m., depart for Anheiser-Busch Brewery Tour
    4:00 p.m., return to hotel
6:30 p.m., Group dinner and awards ceremony! Drawing of prizes

    Sunday
Time TBD Whenever all awake, breakfast buffet at Ameristar Casino, hand out DVD's edited and copied during the night, and all say their goodbyes!

Can we tour a prison afterwards?

This is looking way fun, Mary!

I wonder if the Arch will let us park our cars at the base for a group photo?

    Never hurts to ask!

Not likely. Since 9-11, they have installed concrete highway divider blocks to keep a nut from trying to do damage!!! But will ask! (It is part of the U.S. National Park System).

It would be a cool shot, especially from a helicopter.

If the Mississippi is down, we can line up at the bottom of the stairs . If not, there is a plaza just west of the Arch where we can get a shot of the cars, the Old Courthouse and the Arch all in one shot!

    View is like this!

I won't be able to make it this time, but I have been to the Transportation Museum and Fast Lane. Both are worth seeing, especially with an appreciative group like a bunch of Marauders!

This looks really good, but I'm afraid my back will not be able to withstand a 1,000 mile trip each way.

Wife can't get the time off and what fun would it be with out the DTR? I don't think I'll have the annual leave credits either. I've had to burn quite a bit recently due to a family illness out of town. Thats also how I ended up with the yellow bomber. $700+ on gas last month made me ill

can we get some video set up in their valet lot?, then have 150 marauders show up and use the valet. the video of the resulting confusion would be awesome.
