    4.10 feedback & Thank You...

Digging it definatly... Made the car feel 500lbs lighter. 75mph is about 2500, its not bad at all. I had time to do 2 good onramp blasts and it was great!! The car will lug itself around in 3rd gear with no effort at all.

Big thanks to MarauderAgain (Mike) A Local MM'er about 50 miles from where I live and offered me his trunk organizer at no cost if I'd come get it. Thank you very much Mike, it was great meeting you and checking out your new MM. My tools and real estate supplies thank you from getting thrown back and forth in the trunk.

These cars rule... My new speakers get here thursday and I'll be putting the P.I.E. RCA/Ipod input adaptor and pro-gaurd back in as well. Then in a month or so I'll be ordering an intake spacer and under drives...

My last 2 tanks were averaged at 18 & 19mpg. I'll update on if there are any gains or loss. My guess is with the driving I do I'll see gains.

Keep in mind the break in period of the new gears, nice easy driving for at least 200 miles, no highway driving either, I'm not trying to scare ya I just don't wanna see you start a thread about your gears whining.

They're used OEM Ford. My friend gets em for damn cheap from the dealer he works at. They whine a hair but the stock 3.55's were much more pronounced. I'm pretty picky about gear whine and he got it dialed in really good. He does them alot. I've done gears but I just don't trust myself to get them "marauder" perfect.

Factory gear whine from hell. an AWD 5.0 Explorer with 3.73's and BOTH SETS whined. It was AWEFULL. I almost wore ear plugs. It was cheaper to just sell the damn thing and get my last MM.

I'll have some real feedback when I drive it around for work tomorrow.

Do you think 4.10's are a good idea if you go the SC route or is it better to stick with 3.55's?

Also I will be only using 91 octane gas if that make any difference.

I think 4.10's and a blower are still a great combination. Definatly not to much gear for forced induction on these cars. The big rear tires soak up alot of the ratio...

Lets put it this way if this car was to be my N/A toy car it would at LEAST have 4.30's in it. Blower, 4.10's. Since its my daily I figured I'd just put 4.10's in since I had 3.73's in the last one and wanted just a little bit more. I wouldn't even hesitate to run a blower with 4.30's in these.

It just depends on what your plans are with the car and your planned tire selection to take full advantage of the extra gear...

4.10s and a blower here and I wouldn't change either. Great combination. Quick out of the hole (for such a big beast), very strong passing power and top end around 170 at redline (calcualted). Not too high rpm on the highway, either. Just about perfect gearing/power match.
PS - Dennis tuned me for 91 octane, too since that is the best I can get around here.

Don't need a gear change with roots type blower. I'm still traction limited with stock gears and stock tires. Instead of investing in a gear change I have to invest in widened rims.

BillyGman had a blower and 4.56s in his...but I don't think he drove it on the highway much.

With the Trilogy and 4.10s, The Blackbird can get 21 mpg on the highway.

Again, your certainly welcome for the trunk organizer. After reading your posts tonight I think I am going to invent in 4.10's for my Marauder as well. Thanks...
