    Water in the crankcase? I wouldn't even try that on my F-Bomber.

    My auto shop teacher once told me that running an engine with a few quarts of diesel fuel in the crank case would clean it out real good.

    Of course he also used to gently grind the worn/rounded bottoms off old hydraulic lifters and re-use them.

    I'd try that diesel trick on an old $10 garage sale lawn mower before attempting such a boneheaded move on a Cobra motor.
