Question Code P0174 advice needed please.

Well Over the weekend i pulled one spark plug it was in good shape i reinstalled it. i cleaned the Mass air meter, and replaced the IAC because of an idle problem. Well today i took the car in for Emissions, It passed. drove around about 2 hours doing some shopping, on the way home i was setting at a light and the check engine light came on. Checked it with the predator it was a P0174 code. Too Lean on bank 2.
I pulled over cleared it, Drove easy home and before i got home it came on again same code, where should i start? thanks Seneca

It was stalling when coming to a fast stop, knock on wood i think i have that problem taken care of, while i was taking my last test drive i got pulled for my tint. so i just got that removed and replace with legal today. 330.00 later... Lol... It was a nice 5 plus years with 20% though.. I've gotta pull my fuel pumps sometime soon too because my level sending unit took a crap.

The lean code is nothing to worry about.
    Clear it and forget it.

As for the stalling, the IAC valve transfer function needs to be increased and the stalling will never happen again.

Something has changed and should be troubleshot and corrected. Possible vacumn leak caused by the emmissions testing protocol or MD666's maintenance on the intake system.

Low fuel pressure can also trigger this code. Should have about 60 lbs of pressure at the rails, IIRC.

There are several other areas to look at, Catalytic converter for one, EGR system and overheated pins in the fuel pump connector at the tank.

Let us know what fixes it for our data base.

You have a lot of mods to the fuel/air system so it's hard to tell just what could have gone haywire.

    Regards,

Zach, I did clear it and it came back a few more miles down the road,
Pat. I'm going to be pulling the pumps in the very near future to check on a level sending unit issue i've had for a while when i do i'm going to check on my pumps, I'll also check the fuel pressure, I believe the fuel pressure is where it needs to be it's running right around 60 thru the predator, It's prolly something stupid. I'll also check and make sure i didnt leave something loose for a vac, leak. Thanks for the input as always. Hopefully next weekend I'll be able to get to it. Seneca

I would say a lean code on one bank is a vacuum leak or a bad 02, if you have a Xcal you can data log it and watch the STFT short term fuel trims this will give you a idea of what is going on call me if I can help.

Fuel p-ressure should not be 60psi BTW.
It should hover right around 39psi.
If the tuner did not adjust the psi vs. IAT in the tune, then you may see 60psi as the IAT rises (when idling mainly)
This table should be set at 40 across the board.
