Replaced my two Baer 14 in. front rotors

The front rotors were warped according to my dealer.

The steering wheel would vibrate pretty badly if I did even a mild brake.

I did have only one real hard braking incident (from 85 to about 45 mph) about a few weeks earlier. There wasn 't a clear effect of a vibrating steering wheel after this incident.

I was really impressed with the performance of the brakes and tires. My Pirelli tires did not squeal. If I was in my Crown Vic, I may have been a few feet inside the rear of the other car. But of course, I would have not been driving as aggressively (a no no!).

My dealer said it could happen.

I paid some big dollars to have the stock brakes replaced with Baer's at Kenny Brown.

I never had any of my previous four Ford Crown Vic's during the past 11 years have the same problem.

Baer did not charge me, but I still had to pay $200 labor to have them replaced.

The rotors are being returned to Baer for an autopsy. If defective, I want them to pay for my labor. (Fat chance, but I'll fight it right up the management ladder.)

I'm back since TAF sent sent me a reminder note.

There are too many threads to follow. I do have a full time job. And these chat sessions are fantastic, but they do consume a lot of time.

The rotors were slotted and drilled.

Yeah, Petro, it's a little snug here, but the correct weights are available at Just Tires.

    Thank you SergntMac!

I didn't know how to answer that question as a new periodic "drag driver".
