    MAF Placement?

I saw Sherm's car at Carlisle and got to thinking that is would be a good idea to follow in his footsteps and wondered about moving the cone filter to the location where he did, has anyone done this?

Without a fog light that thing would get tons of fresh air (in theory)

Would there be any problems with moving the filter and the MAF besides maybe some added turbulence.

I'm not to familiar with the whole MAF thing and didn't know if the distance from the filter and the MAF would matter?

Also, what to do about the washer fluid?

His MAF is perfectly placed... away from bends.

Im still dying to know his secret, you dont go as fast as he does without something 'different' than everyone else.

I overheard him say 3800 lbs. I THINK.

I know thats a ton of weight but I thought thats what I heard.

So. As long as its away from a bend it should be ok?

ImpalaSlayer and I were talking about relocating the air pump for a better air flow intake setup. I said to ImpalaSlayer there should be enough room behind the wheel well and sure enough Sherman's was right there.

So this is fine to do leaving the MAF where its at?

You should be able to get a ton of fresh air from there.
