Looks like the car was broadsided by somebody, the driver may have survived but I doubt the passenger if there was one could have made it.

Heavy front end crashes with a rear wheel drive car, sometimes at a great enough speed, (80+) the rear wheels come off the ground, at the same time the drivers foot is slammed to the floor on the accelerator, thus it appears a lot faster than it actually was.
