Angry Add another one to the list.

I pulled my Naz intake off today and sure enough, less then 100 miles since the install, I have cracked welds!

I picked up a rough and surging idle recently, that was the clue that my intake was leaking vacuum.

I made it a point to remove it before MV-7. I didnt trust it with all the cracked welds from the other guys. It just sucks that I wont be able to see what it does on the track or even be able to dyno it at MV-7.
Im hoping for good air and consistant 13 second timeslips.

On a happier note, My SPARTA control arms are installed and my launches feel stronger.

    Pics soon to follow.
Even with all this crap going on with these intakes it still didn't stop me from buying Dave's...... Because I believe once a proper gauge plate is welded in and correctly welded, its gonna be a fine product for these cars.

    Paul,

If you can't find anyone/Super Weld let me know. I'll talk to my friend at Tebbins Steel in Calverton and see if he wants to take a look at it.

Yeah, that was a good deal on Dave's intake. Carlos talked me out of it so now I have to go with a standard ported intake....I may have even still considered it have I gotten a hold of him to air my concerns.

Well first off, I added pics to post #1 to show the cracked welds. Secondly, My Uncle grabbed the intake off me and said he knows a guy out in the Hamptons that has been welding his entire life and can weld and repair any type of metal.
So my saga continues and hopefully Ill have it back all repaired and perfect sometime in the near future.

    Ill keep you guys posted.
