    ???overheating???

    My mm has been overheating lately and i am confused.when it gets real hot antifreeze leaks from the bottom...i did a pressure test and found no leaks...so now i am confused so far i replaced the coolant reservoir cap...but i am puzzled does anyone have any ideas or went thru the same problem???

    Have you recently changed the anti-freeze or done any work on the cooling system? May need burping.

    Yeah, thats the system located just behind the grill lol.

    This is correct, crack open the plug located on the crossover tube in front of the alternator. You will probably see air bubbles come out of the plug. Chances are that's your problem.

    check the front of the radiator make sure it's not plugged up with crap, check the fan is working. If you have done any recent cooling system work crack open the plug located on the crossover tube I personally use a vacuum filler never had an air pocket problem other than an Lincoln ls but thats Lucifer sedan , but I would crack that plug first

    yeah i just tried to open up the plug on the crossover tube but when i started my car a hole had popped at the top of my coolant reservoir tank ...so i know i have to replace that but what would cause that???

    You mean a hole in the black plastic top? Did you leave something on top it and slammed the hood down on it?

    yeah and nah i didnt leave anything on top of it and i just noticed it was antifreeze squirting out of it

    OK that would explain the overheating. you are probably sucking in air and that's causing the issue.

    but that hole just opened just now the car was overheating before the hole??
