You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

New Radiator, Power Steering Pump, and an Oil Filter Housing Gasket. Radiator and Pump were original. Lasted 15yrs. This is the second time for oil gasket, it is now revised and made with more metal material. The older style lasts about 80k miles it seems.

I'm a day late so I'll title this 'Clean Car Thursday'. Marauder went to my favorite cleanup/detail shop for its periodic hand wash - wipedown - vacuum and lite detailing. $25 + $10 tip for putting up with ole picky me - they do a great job. Hurricane Dorian was over 200 miles away; we got a breeze and some clouds. Drove some local errands afterwards - picked the depicted cassette from my collection for this trip. This demo tape was included with the sale when we bought our new 1988 Ranger. Tape mastered well above average and I love '80s 'adult contemporary' music - played really well in Marauder. Truly a delightful automobile.

Replaced driver door actuator, I used a black coated bolt with attached washer, hands are small enough I could actually put nut on the inside of the door. Looks stock. Next up—replace AC compressor and accessories.

Yesterday, Marauder had new spark plugs installed for the first time since new (just under 48k miles at present). NGK 4177 TR6. Compression checked also. #4 (rear passenger side) down to 150 psi and the rest at 175 psi. Operates better than anytime in recent memory. Idle quality restored. Still haven't found source of 'rattle can' noise - appears to be temperature related as the noise lasts longer the cooler it is outside before going away. Sounds like a piece of gravel rolling around in a wheel.
