    Had the body shop repaint the hood, roof and trunk lid.

    The clear coat had turned cloudy.

    They did an excellent job.

    Had the LCM recall done. About 2 hts at dealer. They had a seperate little box to hardwire in. It looked like a relay and a transistor.

    That's the Dorman fix. Not hard wired, just an interface between the LCM and harness.

    Good luck with it. They have been know to fail, sometimes resulting in a thermal event.

    After hearing that, I'm glad I didn't have that "fix" when I took her in for the LCM recall.

    No, it's not the doorman fix. This was a separate unit with one relay and transistor that had to be hardwires in. I looked ar it before thay put it in. No plugs what so ever. I've seen the Doorman product. This one looks like it bypasses that one LCM relay just for the headlights. Time will tell how it works out.
