Made appointment at local Ford dealer here in Jax, FL to have my sticky hood latch repaired - in and out within an hour, priced right and hood now opens with authority! Just cleaning and lube.
Running errands tonight and 'Check Engine' lamp comes on, deteriorated idle quality immediately noticed - engine doesn't sound as well under load either. Steady idle with no stalling (in Park or Neutral). Last week, Marauder began surging at idle when in gear - thinking they're related? Back to the dealer, hopefully tomorrow.

    Arrow Update:

    Update:

Car was delivered to AA Automotive (Jax, FL) Wednesday afternoon and met Enterprise for a rental car. AA phoned me back Thursday to tell me the vacuum leak had been corrected (CAI tube was mis-mounted) but a transmission leak had been discovered, coating much of the bottom of the car - lost 2 quarts. Yes, I had noticed a burning smell beginning Monday.

    Picked up Marauder today.

Not convinced the ‘vacuum leak’ (?) has been corrected as Marauder continues to surge when in gear with no throttle applied. Intermittent ‘crap idle’ too - I feel like the ‘Check Engine’ lamp is about to illuminate at any time.

Tech determined hole drilled improperly for lube line to tail shaft bearing fitting. This is the aftermarket tail shaft assembly that has a lube line going to the tail shaft bearing. Marty Ochs offered to warranty it - tech at AA reassembled the joint with pipe dope.

Upon observing further driving cycles, I’ve noticed Marauder will start and drive fine every other cycle - good idle, no surging and sharp throttle response - as good as ever. ECM relearning?

Hopefully this will free up some HP cause the old mufflers were pretty small inside. But we put out 700rwhp thru 2" ID mufflers lol.

Got back to the folks here

hello again...I am thinking about my "04 DTR" with 25,000 miles on it because my wife is now in fulltime care with Parkinson's Disease...but hate to see my 'baby' go...
will decide sometime in this next week...
will feel better about it all if I let the marauder go to someone who will appreciate and take care of it

thanks for letting me post this one

Planned on installing my dead pedal today.
Instead, had a dead battery. (was removed in November and put in the house - should've put it on a float charger)

So it's charging, I'm at work, and the pedal will have to wait another day.

In my case, might be of interest/use.

But in this instance BDA= Blend Door Actuator. Just in time for the next cold spell.
