Where can I find the best deal on front and rear lowering springs? Alot of guys have the Eibach springs, but I can't seem to find them for the Marauder/crown vic.
Are Eibach springs the way to go, or how about www.coilsprings.com?

Really? I've heard bad things can happen from just chopping stock springs.
Hows the ride?
I am in the same boat as you. I found a set of Eibachs that are going in the car. I can let you know what I think of the ride quality. I used to a firm ride ... If I don't like them, I will buy a set if used stock springs and cut those, without heat and see what that is like.

The Eibachs do not have the spring rate that even a 3/4 or 1 full cut coil of the stock spring have.
Plus cutting your stock spring saves money which you can turn around and use that money for the alignment to carfixer's specs.

Is this something I could do myself? If I bought a tool to compress the springs with and just cut them?
Hehe it seems easy, at least for the rears?
Just unbolt the shocks, compress the spring... or am I wrong?

Also it's a good idea to measure from ground to center of the wheel lip on both sides so you know how much if there is any difference in height before starting. Just allow yourself the whole day to mess with it, make it a nice learning and bonding process with the car lol.
