Where to buy lowering springs (eibach?)

Where can I find the best deal on front and rear lowering springs? Alot of guys have the Eibach springs, but I can't seem to find them for the Marauder/crown vic.

Are Eibach springs the way to go, or how about www.coilsprings.com?

Cut between 3/4 to 1 full coil off the stockers using a cutoff wheel.
Thanks to Darrin @ BC Automotive:
$1800 and it was worse than when he started!

Really? I've heard bad things can happen from just chopping stock springs.

    Hows the ride?

I am in the same boat as you. I found a set of Eibachs that are going in the car. I can let you know what I think of the ride quality. I used to a firm ride ... If I don't like them, I will buy a set if used stock springs and cut those, without heat and see what that is like.

The Eibachs do not have the spring rate that even a 3/4 or 1 full cut coil of the stock spring have.

Plus cutting your stock spring saves money which you can turn around and use that money for the alignment to carfixer's specs.

Is this something I could do myself? If I bought a tool to compress the springs with and just cut them?

you make it sound so easy! Very time consuming project... Especially if things are rust and hard to take apart...

Marauders don't have rear springs, auto leveling air suspension.

Just need to do the fronts and if need be adjust the rear height via

its very easy, just takes some time. took me about 2 hours to do both sides. just be very careful with the springs they can and WILL take fingers off if they are in the way.

Also it's a good idea to measure from ground to center of the wheel lip on both sides so you know how much if there is any difference in height before starting. Just allow yourself the whole day to mess with it, make it a nice learning and bonding process with the car lol.

I have a set coming off sometime in May if you are willing to wait.
Dirt cheap obviously since they are used.

May have them off in April....

My son's spring league and summer training camp has run me dry financially and I am no mechanic.

    It'll get done though...
