Where to get a Marauder engine?

I work at a Lincoln/Mercury dealer and one of our customers needs a new motor. I checked for a blower or rubber in the fenderwells but couldnt find any so I think this is just a fluke. Ford tells us the Marauder motor is 2 months out and we dont want to have the customer be without a car for that long. Does anyone know where we can get a motor sooner? I dont think this guy is interested in building it up for power so The Aluminator wont work for this situation.

Well I would offer it up as an option then say "or wait 2 months for an oem one from Ford". what other option do you have as a dealer?

    I'd wait the 2 months.

YUP! Change the timing chain cover, the coolant crossover, the oil pickup, the oil pan, windage tray, where the oil filter screws in (forget the peice name). Maybe a few other things too, can't remember I'll have to double check my pictures and notes.

You guys have good ideas but unfortunately for warranty purposes the VIN must match the part number application.

So warranty doesn't cover a rental? Mine did.

Is it me or does something seem fishy with all of this? A dealership, warenty, used engine and so forth.

He is out of warranty. I meant to offer the customer a warranty if anything happened to the new motor.

Nothing fishy. The engine replacement is C.O.D because he was out of warranty. Being a dealer we have to put an engine in his car with a warranty, whenever you buy a Ford engine it comes with a 36 month/100K mile warranty but the engines are not readily available from Ford. No dealer has them in stock either. If we found one for him outside of Ford there would be no warranty, I was just looking for ideas on obtaining a motor with warranty perhaps from a 3rd party/engine builder while keeping cost close to OE.
