    Would it make a difference?

I keep thinking that my car is just a little 2 quiet.

What are your opinions of just changing mufflers to turbines.
I don't want to do any real elaborate mods to car just yet.
So in keeping the stock setup and changing the mufflers would I get a little
deeper? I want to keep some stealth but I think that another few decibels will not hurt.
    Has anyone tried this?
I want a little more grumble at idle and a bit more low end at throttle.
    I cannot remove the cats.
    thoughts?

The right muffler will give you a great tone even with the cats still on the car. Blackened300A has an awesome deep tone, Cherry Bombs I believe.

I met him and you at the millers meet.
but I had to go to the hockey game and left early.
    I didn't hear the car.
I have never been a fan of bombs.
will have to see what others chime in with.

Glasspacks or Flowmasters will probably be your best bet to actually make the car louder with just a muffler swap. From what I've seen and heard, most of the time the cats muffler volume so much on their own that your not gonna get incredible volume results just by swapping out mufflers.

    Thanks for the input chops.
i want subtle change only if it is possible.
I need to know that if I need to make a somewhat quiet getaway I can without alerting the neighborhood. The stock sound is cool but I want to kick it in the nuts just a bit.
sorry musslemerc I will be keeping the originals if I change anything.

My mufflers are cherry bomb vortex mufflers. They are like flowmasters and turbines. I have them with res-delete tips and the car sounds great.

Turbines as in Aero Turbine mufflers? Flowmaster mufflers are chambered mufflers where as Aero Turbine mufflers are straight thru, two totally different muffler designs.

If you want a little different tone I would suggest replacing the stock tips with some resonator delete tips or have the resonators in the factory tips knocked out or have your 2nd set of cats removed and put a piece of pipe in it's place.

A straight thru muffler (Aero, Borla, Magnaflow) will be quieter at lower rpms where as the Flowmaster (from personal exp) is a lot louder at lower rpms especially around 2200 rpms.

I would go aero turbine and knock out the resonators out the stock tips! My guess is your best with flowmasters and knocking out the res out the stock tips.

I'm gonna get flamed for this but. Keep the stock mufflers (they are turbo mufflers) and do a mid pipe swap with 2.5" pipes and high flow cats. Then you will gain HP and have a nice deep sound.

    Great feedback guys
Sounds like the the 40 series flows might be they way to go.
Anyone have a decent sound clip of 40 series and the rest stock?
Remember I want to keep the rest of the system stock so I don't think I would delete the resonators.
what would I gain anyway I read a million posts that seem to say they don't really change the tone that much
    am I mistaken?
