    Intake Tube?

Is there an aftermarket air intake tube that fits our cars? The OEM one with the silencer port and ridges could certainly be improved on with a carbon fiber or polished one like the s/c cars have. May not make a difference in performance but it would clean up the underhood appearance. Would one for a s/c car line up with the MAF sensor on a n/a car?

Hey fordnut, I have been wonderin the same thing. That stock intake tube sure is a sight. I liked the carbon fiber one that haggis has on his K/B. I wonder if any of you S/C guys can compare with a N/A Marauder and get back to us. I would like to change mine if not just for cosmetic reasons. I like those coil covers that come on the trilogy cars as well.

I second, or third that. Keep us posted. That's what I was trying to accomplish getting rid of the "J" shaped plastic silencer thing in my post. It's still ugly though.

How about some of you folks with the superchargers. Still got the old air tube that maybe could be used as a pattern for a carbon fiber one? Might have to destroy it to make the pattern though.

Sort of like the pics in the link Rider90 posted, but I personally would prefer to keep the stock air box and panel filter instead of changing to the cone type filter. Some of the other guys on here have converted to the cone type filter and would probably benefit from the filter shown enclosure in the pics for keeping hot engine air from entering the intake. The intake tube shown in the pics looks nice, but wouldn't work on the MM since the throttle body is oval instead of round.

Looks like they were responsible for the custom pieces in the first Trilogy S/C kits. They seem to have some really nice custom work.

You would have to do a complete Lightning intake overhaul to make it work as thats what they are made for ie> 90 mm MAF and maybe relocate a few things around.
Accufab 65mm Throttlebody, 4.10 gears, and JDM Flipchip. Finally here.

In the future: total custom Twin Turbo at 15-18 PSI

13.028 @ 104.6 MPH 02 Lightning JDM Flipchip,4# lower pulley, and Borla Catback. JLP Ramair, Oilbreather, JLP power pipe

I asked Dennis this question a couple weeks ago...wanted to see if I could buy/fit one of his intake tubes from the S/C...he said he'd sell me one for $500...then he smiled and said..."Todd...you don't need that...it won't make any difference."

I kept my money...needless to say.

I have a steel powder-coated black air intake tube that will fit a stock airbox and throttle body from a Crown Victoria. I have no use for it.
