I just changed the tension pulley and belt but now my tempature needle wont read at all... any help would be appreciated... car never over heated or anything serious but dont understand why needle wont read...

Dumb question.... but by chance did you disconnect the ECT sensor on purpose or accident when changing the belt and tensioner?

Changing the tensioner shouldn't affect the temperature gauge.
