    Were there factory wheel options?

I just picked up a 2003 MM last night. It has three polish wheels, and on that isn't. Looks the same other wise. I know the previous owner hit a curb at some point and had to replace a wheel. When I start detailing the car and get the others shined up, this one will be much more obvious.

I need to start looking for a replacement.

Some pop up here every once in a while and also on ebay as well. Just keep a close eye out and MAYBE someone on here has one and will be willing to part with it when they see this thread.

The odd one out is the factory full size spare

There were no wheel options for the Marauder.

2003 Marauders had an unpolished / unfinished wheel as a spare. All the tires can be the same size.

2004 Marauders had a temporary spare (black steel rim) as a spare. Since the 2004 Marauder has traction control the rear tires must be at least 3% larger than the front tires so the traction control doesn't complain.

Better off keeping the spare a spare and getting a new/used polished wheel.

    +1

Besides polishing the wheel you'll have to get it anodized.

Same here, bought my Marauder a month ago. 3 Shiny, one dull, no spare, cover or hardware. Turns out, I had a bent rear axle too so I am guessing that someone might have punched a curb with the missing shiny one and thats what bent my axle. But I have also learned that the MM had issues with axles, so that could be a hunch too. Any noise from the rear end?

No noise fro the rear end. I know that the former owner hit a curb with the front.

I appear to have a spare, but it is still under the cover, and I have not looked at it yet. Something to do when I get few minutes.

Only partially correct. Only the early '03 300A MMs got the full sized spare. The donut spare AND traction control showed up with the introduction of the '03 300B MM. Some exceptions seemed to have occurred near the end of the '03 production .... maybe they had some full sized spares left over and just put them in the last cars on the '03 MM line. As I recall, SC Cheesehead has one of the last Blue 300B built; but ended up with the full spare instead of the donut.

My car is a very early 300B and it came with a full size spair and traction control. I can't remember my build date, but my production number is in the 6000's. I've been told that makes my car a pre-discontented model. I also have a under hood light, but I'm unsure if that is a 300A/B difference or not. (I got the dash clock too, but I added that myself. )

EDIT: I just checked. My build number is 6227.

I think mine is a 300a. I have found no evidence of traction control, it has a full size spare and speaker grills on the rear deck. Not sure about an under hood light, will have to check on that.

Mine has all of the early 2003 model stuff (clock in dash, speaker covers, engine has the black valve covers, etc.), however, it has traction control and mini-doughnut spare.

During the change-over from the '03 300A to the '03 300B there are apparently some cars that recieved a mix of 300A/300B features. The folks here called them "Pre-Decontented" MMs (i.e. before they lost all the original contents). Not sure about the underhood light .... I have a 300B built on 10 Jan 03 that has the hood light. So, I am not sure when that feature officially disappeared. Don't think any of the '04 MM have underhood lights; but I could be wrong on that.
