I'm actually looking forward to gridlock on the Hill...

Bad news:
Harry Reid survives for yet another 6 year term...
WTF is wrong with the voters in Nevada???...

Good news:
Obama has to actually listen to, and consider, the voices of (at least half) of America's citizens.

Bad news:
California, the always wacky & retarded State, has elected Jerry Brown!...

Last night's election was America showing Obama and his left wing friends what "CHANGE" really means!

Now if only someone on the Hill had the cojones to introduce this Bill:

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits.

12 years only, one of the possible options below..

A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.
All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.


Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.
The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

I can answer this one.
First off, he was running against a lunatic.
Second, the results were fairly close exept in one catagory. He destroyed her when it came to getting the minority votes. That blows my mind considering Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the US and the highest number of foreclosures in the US. Those two things historically affect minorities the worst. So why did they vote to keep him in? I'm leaning towards his being illegal immigrant friendly. Plus, he was running against a lunatic.

I just listened to the President's news conference for over an hour. He will not change a thing. He will blindly move forward on his policies. He's out of touch with reality.

The next two years will be hopeless for our country. The only good news is that the Reps will stop any more reckless spending or drive toward a socialistic society as well as stop any more tax increases.

Sad times for America. I hope the American voters are smarter in 2012 - they sure blew it in 2010.
