    I need some help...

My beast is running rather bad and I need help troubleshooting likely causes. Under hard acceleration, she sputters. I thought she had a bad batch of gas but I have run a couple of tanks and if I try and punch it...I still get a bad sputter. Let me know...Thanks.

sounds like a set of plugs, and a fuel filter may be in order, sometime its good to clean the maf with carb cleaner.

I would definitely be looking at the fuel filter.
Runs good under easy driving? How does it idle?
How many miles are on it?

It could be that SW exhaust too, pull it off and send it to me and I'll test it

WOW...take the exhaust off...naw I will go with the MAF cleaning first. The plugs have less than 20K so I don't think they are the issue. As for as the idle and easy driving...she is 5x5...no issues there. And I just rolled over 111K.

I agree sounds like fuel starvation and if it was the MAF sensor you should have got a trouble code, " there pretty sensitive" If you mess with it you might cause another problem, IMOP

Also check the pcv valve, This sounds like a problem i once had when i found that the rubber connector on the pcv had a nice size hole in the bottom of it which was causing air to get in there and causing it to sputter.

    +1,
That sounds like a bad COP considering it idles fine and breaks up under a load.

With 100K plus miles on the clock, I would still go with a fuel filter 1st.
Ethanol is wreaking havoc on fuel systems nationwide. It is a great cleaner and plugs filters with all the crud that was coating the inside of the fuel tank.

I wouldn't use carb cleaner...CRC, and I'm sure others, make a cleaner specifically for hot-wire MAFs like ours. For $7, one can should last a lifetime, so it's not that expensive to use the right product and not have the risk of long-term damage.

carb cleaner has been used to clean mafs for years, its tried and true! take a look at whats in that over priced maf cleaner and you will see your buying nothing more than carb cleaner

i would say coils. sounds just like the same problem my brother was having. i would get a stress test done from the dealership to see what ones are bad. my brothers MM was breaking up under WOT and gave a slght misfire when barley applying the gas.
