    Rattle at low rpm.

I just recently bought a 2003 marauder. It has around 68k miles on it and when I'm cruising around 1200-2000 rpms it does this ungodly rattle for a couple seconds when im accelerating. It doesnt do it when im parked, only when im rollin. And some days it doesnt do it. I'm only 17 so i dont really know a WHOLE lot about the 4.6 dohc. But its really got me worried, any advice would help.

You would have to get way more specific with the "it rattles", like exhaust rattle, suspension rattle, or a stutter when under medium acceleration, Etc.

With my GMarquis it was the cats at fault. Internally, they were destroyed and rattled.

Most rattles at that RPM would be exhaust related. Unless your engine has so much carbon build up that its pinging you are hearing. Video or a sound clip will help.

Sounds like detonation. You using 93 octane? Or get the exhaust checked.

yeah i use 93 octane. I even tried some of that octane booster, thinkin it was bad gas. But that didnt do anything. Im not going to waste my money on that anymore. Im tryin to get some audio up, but its on my friends phone. Thess might sound like a dumb questions, but what do i exactly check when im under the car lookin at the exhaust? Loose bolts? Loose shields? And if it was pinging or detonation, How would i get rid of all the carbon build up?

If its rattling under the car it could be muffler internals, or the cat heat shields. If its full of carbon, try some seafoam in the intake.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAuMTMn2Ewk well heres the link. You cant really hear it very well on a phone, but the best is 33-42. Listen very closely and turn volume all the way up. It kinda sounds like a diesel i dont know, i've never heard it before in any other car. Time to do some seafoam. Sorry for poor sound quality.

I'm getting a girglling noise from mine at about 12-1300rpm, that I think is air in the heater core. Not sure how to get it out either.

You have to burp it. Do a search for the procedure.

That sounds like pinging. Have you changed your fuel filter lately? Low fuel pressure can cause pinging. Try some seafoam in the gas take then through the intake and see how that helps. I had a ping in my crown vic that went away after a can of seafoam in the tank.
