F2AZ.9B242.A If you can get it for around $25 at a dealer that charges you cost + 10%, you'll make out.
    (#6178 in black per FPIC)
Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

    Rest In Peace:

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.

When I heard the Ford parts guy say 39.xx list price I was like, pass.
My tech found one out of an import that was a bit smaller.
I took a rubber gromit that was a little larger than the hole in the door panel, took a dremmel to modify the gromit so the button would seat flush.
the replacement button stuck out a little further than the other button (trunk) so I modified the gromit once again to get it to look the same as the other.
I made a jumper with crimp connectors so I did not have to cut the factory harness .
took me about a half hour gratification was high cause I did it with no of pocket expense and it looks good.

Ha Ha! I need the same thing. While I still have the chrome button, one of the fingers on the jacket broke. It shot up in the air with the spring like a champagne bottle being uncorked. So, now I have to open the trunk and pull the release cable with every tank of gas.

Just found this link after seeing the part number in this thread ... $25:

    Warmest Regards!
