    10th Annual Blackbeard Pirate Festival

    This weekend was the annual 3 day Blackbeard Pirate Festival, it is awesome! Been going since it started. Had a raging headache most of the weekend so me and Jr. didn't go until around 3:30 today. They lit of fireworks and shot cannons last night at 9, we can hear it at my house, Daisy went ******* crazy, she thought it was go time. Silly dog. Great food, great beer, plenty of gift and knick-knack tents, and best of all: PIRATES everywhere!!!

    These heathens, lol. One accused me of stealing thier souls by taking a picture, but the other one said "It's okay, I don't have any soul left!"

    The one hawking the CD's for the band The Brigands, I have their "Inner Bucaneer" CD, it's actually pretty damn good. Great ballads and drinking and yelling songs, they really get the crowd going.

    Too bad that this is on the same weekend as Carlisle All Fords. I'd really like to get down to the Pirate Fest one of these days. Looks like cleavage and booty vs. Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. Tough choice ..... or maybe not.

    At various times over the 3 day event they blast these cannons, last year we happened to be right next to them, got some great shots. On fireworks night, these are all going off. Awesome stuff!

    It's a blast, literally! The food ranges from Gyros to fried catfish to veggies burgers, you name it. Funnel cakes, crabcakes, RUMcakes , and of course, BEEEEER!!!! Well, Ale for the brave, normal beer for the less adventurous.
