    Lincoln Aviator, Mark X concepts

Neither are sure bets for production. The Mark X is a reskinned Thunderbird, and given that the T-bird is soon to be history again, I say the Mark X is a bad bet.

Anywho, the Aviator looks to be aimed at the Lexus RX/Infinity FX models, which is welcome in my opinion. I think sales of the Aviator have been slow because it looks too much like the Navigator.

The front is just classic! Love it!

The back on the other hand looks like a Maybach. Not in a bulbous sense, but in a large sort of way.

I think with the new Cadillac XLR out Lincoln needs something to answer back. But I bet the Mark will be about $25,000 less than the XLR.

I like both those concepts. But from what I've seen of the 2005 Ford 500 spy photos, they'll never reach market looking anything like they do as concepts.....& that's a real shame.....

Edited to add spy photos of 2005 Ford 500:

I guess companies might be afraid that something won't sell when it's a little TOO fresh.
