Blacking out tail lights question/VHT Niteshades

Is ebay or Amazon the only places you can get VHT Nite-Shades paint? It's like trying to find Jimmy Hoffa! Or are there any other recommendations anyone has here? Any before and after pics? Greatly appreciated!

Personally I don't like the nite shade look.

    I'd do the S-55 treatment.

Add two more bulbs per side while you have the taillights out.

Yes, that is the S-55 treatment. As with any paint job preparation is the key. I like said you can add 2 more sockets and bulbs per side. Easy to do once you have the taillights out.

I gotta do this now, that just adds another dimension. Paint codes???
Got the pic of the Blue!
So, brief synopsis according to Z:

    Here are the directions:

    Tape light.
    Scuff entire light.
    Paint light
    Remove tape
    Clear the ENTIRE light
    sand and buff.

    The BEST directions are:
    Take to a professional

Yeah, called a few of those local flaps, no go on the nite shades. I really love that S55 look though.

I found vht at advance auto but did not look right and yes I did it right. It will look best if you take it to a body shop. One body shop told me that if I mask and scuff lightly they will charge 75. Black paint code is ua. Also get silverstar tail light bulbs night and day differance

If you want the all-over tinted look, you could have a body shop add a few drops of blk to clear coat and spray them that way.

Correct... Niteshades maybe illegal in some areas.... the S-55 treatment isn't.
