When I did the 410's, I also bought the pinion bearings, pinion nut and crush sleeve.

And of course the gear oil.

The above and I had my Trac Lok rebuilt at the same time. Its apart already and depending on mileage, you might as well. The parts were relatively cheap and she'll last forever now. There is also a install kit for the gears. The fluid can get exspensive depending on what you use. DO NOT cheap out, you'll be sorry. Good time to check axle seals too.

As you can see there is much more to it than spending $149 on a set of gears. Do your research, its all ready been done here for this car before and a little knowledge can save you boo kuu bucks in the long run.

How many miles were on yours when you did the gears and rebuild?

Mine were installed around 37k, and did not see the need in doing the rebuild. Not to mention Ford Premium Care in effect.

60ish, my Tech said they were still ok, but now their good for probably as long as I own the car since she doesn't do winter duty anymore. I should also mention all I had to pay for were the parts for my car and his Mustang as he also did it the next week.

I mean this good naturely, since I have done it many times myself in various projects, but...

It's it alittle late to be asking if you ordered the right parts?

Addco front & rear sway bars

Metco upper & lower rear control arms

    Metco Watts link

Metco driveshaft hoop..... no HP increase, but good for safety .

    ^^^^^ What he said ^^^^^^

Also suggest you consider upgrading the brakes.

If you're looking for substantially increasing engine performance, start saving up for a S/C.

For the cost of an exhaust system, you'll be about 1/2 way to a blower.

    20 - 30 rwhp for exhaust, 100 - 150 rwhp from a blower.
