Paul, on Wed. there will be a Cash Bar and Appetizer Happy Hour at the Atrium Bar from 5p -7p. Scott's welcome will follow that, in the Harris Room. I'll call him tomorrow for an exact time but I'm thinking it will be more like 7:30 or so.

On Thurs. we may want to have the drivers meeing at 8:45 am as we need to leave the hotel at 9 AM to be parked at the Museum and inside by about 9:30 am.

Also, check wth Chris about the venue for LCR. It might be in our hospitality room (not the Harris Room) because we can't have our own food and drink in the Harris Room, but we can in our hospitality room. If we do have it in the Harris Room, Justin will provide a cocktail waitress to take orders.

The farewell breakfast: What time do we want it to start? They will serve food for about 2 hours or so. ( maybe 8a-10a?)

8-10 sounds good for the farewell breakfast.
Ditto for Scott's welcome to be done earlier

Yes, LCR will be held in the Hospitality Room not the Harris Room.

    http://www.rrmuseumpa.org/

Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania - is the Museum

    http://www.strasburgrailroad.com/
Strasburg Railroad - is the train ride across the street.

    Note Strasburg spelling.
    Two different businesses.

    I'm so excited!!

I spoke to Scott Hammonds. He will arrive at the hotel about 5 pm Wed. eve to join in the Happy Hour at the Atrium Bar. He plans to give his Welcome talk at 7:15 pm in The Harris Room, lasting about 20 minutes, then be available to field questions.

Paul, for Wed. night, do you want to add that registration will continue to 9 pm? I'll be happy to man the desk until at least that hour.

Also, I think the drivers meeting should start at 8:30 AM on Thursday. If it lasts 10-15 minutes that gives people several minutes to get to their cars and get ready to leave at 9 AM sharp for the museum. How long do you think it will take to drive to the CWM, park everyone, have them walk to the entrance, turn in their tickets and get seated for the introductory talk by 9:30.

I agree, especially on the first day out, reviewing convoy procedures is important (5mph under speed, keep up, etc.) You know folks will not be prompt.

Hammons or Hammond? List his title and chamber name.

Wouldn't hurt to put the street address of the location in the itinerary just so everything is in one place. For the vouchers I made up, I added the addresses.

    Railroad Museum of PA:
300 Gap Road, Ronks, PA 17572
    717.687.8628

    Civil War Museum:
One Lincoln Circle at Reservoir Park
    Harrisburg, PA 17103

I can call Scott and get his full title and post it up here if you don't have it on one of his e-mails.

Along with the itineraries will be a map of each event with address and direction to and from the hotel.
Voula is putting the daily itinerary together tonight for print.
