    Question FelPro Engine Gaskets..?

    Hi every one,

As shown from the title, I found FelPro gaskets for 2004 mercury marauder & I don't know if it is recommended to use since OEM gaskets need 45 days to be deleivered.

    Appreciate your usual support...

Almost 2 months before delivery. Might want to try another dealer.

Rockauto has plenty in stock. The OEM MLS Felpro are good for N/A and SC up to about 18+psi.

FelPro gaskets have a good reputation.

You might also try tascaparts.com...in fact, I'm at their world HQ right now getting my work van repaired.

By "World HQ" you mean the Tasca Dealership in Cranston, right?

Bob, have them drop a 5.4 triton s/c motor in your van along with some Magnaflow mufflers.

I'd call it more of a City than just a dealership...their truck centre alone has 18 bays...and there are 44 in the whole place, including the FOUR that had Shelbys in them...

Aw yeah that place is huge.
Wanna know something funny though? Their parts department is separate from their dealership, so it actually costs more to pick up the item at the dealership than it does to have it shipped across the country. Kind of silly if you ask me...

Thanks RF Overlord. Good luck with your work van .

Today, when I went to the workshop, I found that they had brought the wrong no. for head gasket kit. Thanks to god, I found the right one available(Part #hs9790pt3) in spare parts shop( the funny thing is that they don't know the Marauder ..he was asking me.. what is your car?..again please..murder..marauder..is it SUV .I told him, front marquis back cv with 4.6L 32v engine . My issue now with the manifold gaskets, I didn't find it. The available one in their other branch (around 30 miles away)for Lincoln Aviator(Part # ms 96139-2) which has the same lower manifold gasket of Marauder if I'm not mistaken. The question is, can i use the existing upper manifold if it is in good shape?

Any gasket with a black plastic frame and blue silicone seal is *supposed* to be reusable. I had to buy new ones when I installed the intake manifold spacer as little chunks of the blue sealing surface came apart on the old ones.

So your answer is yes, if it's completely intact you can reuse it.
