    Great looking cars!!

Always liked the 'new age' Impalas....
I almost bought a '96 Impala SS, but I needed a 4WD truck for my job so I bought a 4.3 Vortec Blazer.

    I love notchback Stangs too!
How close to the stock hood was the carb on the LS7 motor?

BTW: You mounted the distributor on the wrong end of the engine.....

Actually, I understand why....the LS motors pack a lot of cubes and HP for the least amount of money.

To build an equivalent FORD engine would take a bored and stroked 351W with a good set of AFR heads.....not a cheap investment.

If (most likely soon) I sell my 1/2 of the 427 Cobra to my brother, the proceeds will go towards exactly that....a 427 or maybe even a 460 Windsor for my '85 GT Stang.
    It'll get a set of Kaase P38 heads for a 650 - 700 HP N/A SBF....

    Thanks Joe

With the first GM carb intake i had on it the carb would have stuck out of the stock hood about 2 inches but with the 2 pc cnc intake and Dominator carb it would have stuck out about 6 inches...

So going 9.61 at 141mph on motor is slow ? Thats useing a stock GM crank stock Gm rods stock rebuilt heads stock rocker arms stock lifters stock timing chain and gears stock GM block........Plus the car was easier to sell and worth more money.......I had $16,500 into the car and sold it for $19,000 and it took 2 weeks to sell it.

Why do you think i did it again ?? Plus its a fun project and keeps me bizzy..
