    Shorty Headers

I have a set of stock manifolds off of a 2000 Cobra R. They are the same as the Ford Racing shorty headers just have a thicker flange(1/2") on them. Will not fit stock H-pipe must be 2.5" pipe. Need the money from these to go a different exhaust route. $275 plus shipping.

That's the majority of the benefit right there. On some cars, shorty headers are CARB certified also, but this is because they are designed to not relocate the factory catalytic converters, but the Marauder doesn't have a shorty header specifically designed for it, so it isn't quite the same.

The better question is "what benefits do long-tubes present over shorties", of which the answer is primarily that A: they absolutely minimize exhaust constriction, at least for the section of exhaust that they occupy, and B: they help promote the exhaust scavenging effect, which as an end result helps to create more HP.
