    Key On Wire

    Hello everyone.

Does anyone know where I can find the "Key On" wire either under the driver's dash or near the brake booster or even in those general areas?

I'm installing some gauges and a meth kit and they need to be tapped into the Key On wire(s).

    Thanks a million!

I powered mine from the fuse block using a "piggyback" fuse holder, therefore making it unnecessary to cut into my harness.

There are a lot of positive leads that only have voltage when the key is on. You can tap off other gauge leads or accessories that only energize with the key in the onposition. Do you have a multimeter to test wires?

If you want to tap the Ign wire off the Ignition harness under the drivers dash it a White/Yellow. Look for a big cream color plug with a gray plastic cover it with some wires coming out of the bottom of it.

Yes on the meter and I like the idea of avoiding splicing wires if I can. I know there will be places that I will have to.

Thanks everyone! Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
