    6r80 swap

    Hello All,

Just wanted to see if anyone had any info they wanted to share about stabbing a 6r80 into one of these. I did a spreadsheet on gear ratios, and given the 4.6's peaky powerband, the tighter gearing looks like it will have the car in power for a lot more of the speed range.

From my research so far, you need a post 2011 so the computer is external, (not sure if there's a preference or a difference between sourcing from a mustang or an f150?), you need the US Shift Quick6, you need an extendable driveshaft, and you need some unknown modification to the crossmember.

Would anyone who's done this like to chime in with more details? Thanks!

My experience with a telescoping driveshaft in this long car ended in catastrophe. You’ll want a CV joint on one end of an aluminum shaft.

You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard
