    installed my headers

    Finally installed my headers I got 3years ago MAUCAT easy install fit perfectly

    Easy install??... Im goin through heck. Getting the front bolt off of my pass manifold is a B.

    Agreed^ Plus have a good variety of 1/4" drive sockets, extensions, swivels, swivel sockets, and what I found also very usefull was ratcheting wrenches.

    For anyone not in the know, Autozone sells the factory studs and factory lock nuts in packs of 10 in their exhaust isle for about $12.00. I also like to use copper spray on the old gaskets to help insure a good seal.

    Has anyone ever used Percy header lead gaskets ?
    2004 marauder black purchased new. Sold 9/16 at 297,000 miles. Still ran strong didn't burn a drop of oil.
    2003 marauder black 28,000 miles all stock. Garage Queen.

    I just loosened mine to make some room. Congrats on the self install, I installed the MAUCAT setup too.

    Did you use the lokar dip stick or the stage 8 locking bolts? I think these 2 are a must have with the SW kit.

    You can just cut the flange for the dipstick as many have. Also no need for locking nuts as new OEM nuts are widely used trouble free.

    I used lock nuts with the factory gaskets I have used Percy's on a small block Chevy and they worked great the dip stick was not a problem I also had and extra hand to weasel it back in I can see the use of the Lokar dip stick but not necessary
