    air suspension help..Please!!

So when I bought the car it had springs in the rear. I decided to buy a whole new system from Sun Industries. I got a new compressor with drier, 20’ of hose, bags, solenoids and a tee. I’ve got the system in and followed the instructions for filling the bags but I can’t get the compressor to run for no more than 15 seconds? I’ve got some codes that I’ve pulled out while diagnosing the system and they say it’s bad solenoids but they are brand new… I’m trying to see if it’s a bad wire somewhere but I thought I’d ask if anyone here has some ideas?? It would be a great help if someone could help me.. Thanks.

You may be the first person here to put an RAS back in once it's been removed. Do you know why the previous owner removed it?

When the compressor runs, do the air bags inflate at all?

Just a hunch but the PCM may have a max run of 15 seconds or so. Try and put some air in the system first so it's half full, then start it and let the compressor take over.

Ya I think your right.. I've been looking into it more and it seems 15 sec's is correct. I'm suppose to collapse the height sensor and let the compresor run for 15 sec's to get the wrinkles out and then turn the system off from the switch connect the height sensor and turn the system on and crank the engine and let the compresor take it from there.. I'm going to try this today. All the work was done at a shop that wasn't familiar with the system so they thought I had a bad solenoid.. Thanks for the ideas guys.. As for why the other guy took the bags out, I can only guess the bad grounds or the compresor gave in. The system I bought from Suncore cost only $300 and change for a complet system and I like the ride with the bags. I guess it's a personal preference..I put new shocks on while it was in the air and that made a world of difference.
