    Blacked out Badges

Well,.. I finally got around to painting my front and rear badges. It was pretty easy. I removed the front badge, there's only a 10mm lock nut holding it on.

I thought about removing the rear badge for painting, but it looked like a total PITA. So, I just taped it off and cover the rear of the car with an old beach towel. It worked pretty well.

As far as prepping the badges, all I did was clean them with Isopropyl Alcohol. I thought about taking some 400 grit sandpaper to them, but decided against it. If I have any problems with the paint peeling later I'll do it.

EDIT: more pics in the gallery

You imagined correctly! The brand I used was Dupli-Color.

    Thanks!

nope,... I think that might be a little too much IMO. If anything, I was thinking about having the window trim chrome dipped again. The contrast looks good to me.

I got it at Wal-Mart. Touch up paint for black cars. It cost around 5 bucks.

Tom, all I noticed were those awesome valve covers!!! Apparently your stealth badge look worked, didn't even notice them.

As far as the window trim, unless you're dipping the entire car, it ain't happening. Remember? They are hermedically attached.

Wow, more stealth! I didn't notice that either.

Hey Tom, did you come up with an idea for the sway bar? Or just put in as is?
Mine is just screaming to be powder coated. Springs as well.
